Tasting: Western Australia Chardonnay

Full green-gold. Round and lushly fruity, with the emphasis on Indian Ocean tropical fruit and very ripe citrus. Full, soft, lush and ample. To me, this sums up the place of Margaret River very well, its light, its scents, its languid summer days; I love it’s generosity. It’s not a wine of huge refinement, nuance or subtlety, but they don’t all need to be … Just open, relax, enjoy, be there.

Delicate aged nose, fine clean fruit which is well balanced and is looking very good now, but will continue to evolve, soft buttery finish with some great fruit textures.

Ripe rich tropical fruit on the nose, with vanilla oak character. Full bodied, rich and complex with creamy texture and citrus acidity. Long and tropical.
