30 top Christmas wines under £20: Part 3
Quastana, Côt’Lectif, Touraine, Loire, Vin de France 2012
This is only the second vintage from Jérémy Quastana, who farms just 2ha in Sologne – both Gamay and this 40-year-old Côt, the Loire name for Malbec. This is a real vin de soif, with a textured palate of red cherry, pomegranate and wet slate. It’s one to drink up as soon as you’ve opened it, and would benefit being chilled too.
